•As part of its weeklong unveiling of the 25 Best Cigars of 2011, Cigar Aficionado announced the names of Cigars No. 4, 3 and 2 earlier today. •Pernod Ricard has inked a three-year partnership with tennis star Andre Agassi for a global ad campaign promoting its Australian wine brand Jacob’s Creek. The tennis-focused campaign will include advertising, PR and digital activity. It will launch at the Australian Open this month before being “amplified” at Wimbledon this summer to emphasize the brand’s status as the official wine of the All England Club championship. Under the tag line “True Character,” the campaign will begin by featuring Agassi in a series of short online films telling on- and off-the-court stories. Jacob’s Creek’s global volume slipped 3% to 6.8 million cases in Pernod’s last fiscal year, ended last June.

•Chef Michael White is planning to expand his New York City-based restaurant Osteria Morini to New Jersey. Expected to open in February, the outpost will be located in Bernardsville, at the site of White’s recently shuttered Due Terre restaurant. Opened in 2010 by White’s Altamarea Group, Osteria Morini is known for its list of more than 130 affordable wine selections from Italy’s northern and central regions, as well as an Italian-inspired cocktail list created by Eben Freeman, Altamarea’s director of Bar Operations & Innovation. In addition to Osteria Morini, White and the Altamarea Group also operate high-profile New York City eateries Marea and Ai Fiori, Due Mari in New Jersey and Al Molo in Hong Kong.
