Skinnygirl To Launch Line Of California Wines

Next month, Beam Inc. will launch three new low-calorie California wines under the Skinnygirl brand umbrella, Wine Spectator reports. The wines will retail at $15 a 750-ml. and include a red blend made primarily with Syrah, a white blend made primarily from Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio, and a rosé blend featuring Grenache and Syrah. All three wines are from the 2011 vintage and are at 12%-abv and 100 calories per 5-ounce serving. The wines are made by the Winery Exchange, based in Novato, California. Initial production is 200,000 cases.
