•Wine and spirits importer Aveníu Brands—owned by Spain’s Grupo Codorníu—has entered into a partnership with Central Coast wine label Clos LaChance. Aveníu will provide sales and marketing services in the U.S. for Clos LaChance, which is based in San Martin, California. Prior to Aveníu, the wine brand managed sales in-house. Founded in 1992, Clos LaChance produces 60,000-80,000 cases annually across its Vineyard Designate, Reserve and Estate tiers, with prices ranging from $10-$50. Aveníu Brands also handles wine labels such as Artesa, Septima, Anna de Codorníu Cava and Two Oceans, and spirits like Amarula cream liqueur, Ocean vodka and Zodiac vodka.

•Web and mobile app platforms TapHunter.com and Pintley.com have partnered to create a craft beer location and information database. San Diego-based Tap Hunter currently tracks 13,000 beers at 600 locations in 10 markets, enabling craft beer aficionados to track what’s available on tap and where. Boston-based Pintley has an interactive online community of more than 75,000 beer consumers. Pintley members can list and rate beers they’ve tried. The site analyzes each user’s ratings, tasting notes and favorites to create personalized recommendations. The integration of both sites will be completed in March, resulting in a combination of up-to-date beer recommendation, rating, tracking and availability features.
