March 12, 2012

Ste. Michelle Wine Estates has been named exclusive U.S. importer of the Antinori family’s Prunotto Estate wines from Italy’s Piedmont region. Beginning in April, Ste. Michelle will import the Prunotto portfolio, including “Fiulot” Barbera d’Asti DOC, “Mompertone” Monferrato Rosso DOC, Barbaresco DOCG, Barolo DOCG, Dolcetto d’Alba DOC, Moscato d’Asti DOCG, “Bric Turot” Barbaresco DOCG, “Bussia” Barolo DOCG and Roero Arneis DOCG. The wines range from $15 to $95 a bottle at retail. The agreement expands on the Ste. Michelle Wine Estates-Marchesi Antinori strategic alliance made in 2006, under which Ste. Michelle handles brands from Antinori wine projects across Italy, Chile and the U.S.
