Paul Duffy To Leave Pernod Ricard USA To Run The Absolut Company

June 11, 2012

Paul Duffy, current chairman and CEO of Pernod Ricard USA, has been tapped to become chairman and CEO of The Absolut Company. Duffy will run Absolut’s global operations as well as Malibu and Kahlua, and will be based in Stockholm, Sweden.

Duffy’s replacement at Pernod Ricard USA will be Bryan Fry, who’s currently chief executive officer of Pernod Ricard Brazil. Fry, a native of Australia, began his career at Pernod’s Orlando Wyndham wine unit.

At the Absolut Co., Duffy succeeds Philippe Guettat, who moves to become chairman and CEO of Mumm Martell Perrier Jouet Company. Guettat replaces Lionel Bretton, who is retiring.

The appointments are effective September 1.
