•Londonderry, New Hampshire-based Moonlight Meadery has named St. Killian Importing Corp. as its first brand agent in the U.S. Moonlight’s collection of meads (wine made from honey, water and yeast) will now be available in all 50 states. Production began at Moonlight in May 2010, and the company’s portfolio of meads currently consists of 58 varieties that range from dry to dessert style, with suggested retail prices ranging from $14-$50 per 375-ml. bottle. The company said they expect to sell the equivalent of around 4,250 nine-liter cases this year and that volume is expected to at least double next year.

•San Diego-based CraftBeerConnect.com has unveiled a new Southern California-focused craft beer club. Currently featuring more than 200 beers from 26 Southern California breweries—including Lagunitas (Petaluma), Bear Republic (Cloverdale), Green Flash (San Diego) and Stone Brewing (Escondido), among others—the newly-launched retail site is offering consumers four club tiers, priced at $25-$50 a month. Members in tiers 1-3 receive six 22-oz. or 750-ml. bottles per month, primarily made up of limited release and specialty brews. Tier 4 members get twelve 12-oz. bottles per month and can choose from craft beers typically available year-round. In addition to its retail component, CraftBeerConnect.com also aims to function as an online community, where members can browse products, read and write reviews, share content via social media, find beer events and get food pairings and recipes from local chefs.
