•Downingtown, Pennsylvania-based Victory Brewing Co. will expand with the construction of a second brewery in nearby Parkesburg. Slated to begin production next summer, the new 212,000-square-foot warehouse will have a production capacity of 200,000 barrels and a 50,000-square-foot distribution center. It will also feature a mezzanine-level catwalk for tours of the facility, glass walls to allow people to see in and long-term plans for a brewpub and retail space. Victory currently produces about 82,000 barrels a year and distributes to 29 states but will consider expansion to new markets with the opening of the second brewery. The company’s lineup of year-round products consists of 12 different beers, including Hop Devil, Prima Pils, Golden Monkey, Headwaters Pale Ale and Storm King Stout, among others.

•Texas-based JEM Beverage Co. released two new craft spirits—Western Son Texas Vodka and Stingray Spiced Rum—in its home market earlier this month. Infused with vanilla, cinnamon and almond flavors, Stingray is priced at around $27 a 750-ml., while Western Son is a grain-based vodka distilled 10 times and priced at around $18 a 750-ml. According to local news reports, both offerings will initially be available at Spec’s and independent liquor stores throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area, with additional retail chain expansion slated for the future. Established in late 2010, JEM Beverage Co. currently operates a small-batch distillery in Carrollton, Texas.
