•Pittsburgh-based La Dorita LLC—which specializes in producing small-batch dulce de leche—is launching its new La Dorita Dulce de Leche liqueur this fall. Rolling out in Pennsylvania and other select markets, La Dorita Dulce de Leche liqueur blends premium potato vodka made by Pennsylvania Pure Distilleries with La Dorita’s dulce de leche milk caramel spread. The 17%-abv offering is priced at around $27.99 a 750-ml. To support the launch, La Dorita will also embark on a Kickstarter.com fundraising campaign, intended to raise funds for the company’s expansion into a new building in Sharpsburg, Pennsylvania. The larger facility will help La Dorita increase its dulce de leche production, and also provide a separate kitchen space for local entrepreneurs to develop their food start-ups.

•Colorado’s Denver Beer Co. is preparing to increase production capacity with the addition of a new, 1,700-square-foot facility. Known as the Barrel Room, the building will allow the brewer to add four 15-barrel fermenters and one 15-barrel brite tank, which join Denver Beer’s existing fleet of six seven-barrel fermenters. Additionally, the Barrel Room will feature a 1,000-square-foot, 45-seat bar area and tasting parlor. The new building—which marks Denver Beer’s second expansion project since opening in August 2011—is slated to open in early winter 2012. Maker of the Colorado Common, Big Money Maple Nut Brown and Smoked Lager labels, among others, Denver Beer Co. currently has annual production of 3,500 barrels.

•Grand Rapids, Michigan-based Founders Brewing Co. will release its Breakfast Stout fall seasonal this Friday. Retailing at $9.99 a four-pack, Breakfast Stout will be available on tap and in stores across Founders’ 23-state distribution footprint until February 28, 2013. The 8.3%-abv beer is brewed with oats, bitter and imported chocolates, and Kona and Sumatra coffee. Founders’ collection of beers includes six year-round brews, as well as two other seasonal beers and a number of specialty releases.
