•Chester County, Pennsylvania’s Evil Genius Beer Co. has released a new year-round package, Eyeclops IPA Variety Pack. The six-pack will feature two each of the company’s three IPA brews—Evil Eye PA, an American IPA released in January; Blind Eye PA, a Belgian-style IPA; and Black Eye PA, which is only available in the Eyeclops pack. The variety pack will be priced at $10.99. Founded a year ago, Evil Genius currently contract brews at the Cooperstown Brewing Co. in Milford, New York, but the company said it plans to build a facility in Chester County in the future.

•Maine Beer Co. is entering the New Jersey market beginning on October 1 through a partnership with Hunterdon Distributors. They will begin distribution in the state with limited quantities of 500-ml. bottles of their American pale ale, Peeper, but will consider making more of their beers available in the coming year. The company’s lineup also includes Zoe, Mean Old Tom, Lunch, Mo and Collaboration Time I. Their existing distribution footprint includes Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Virginia and the New York City and Philadelphia areas.

•Plymouth, Massachusetts-based Mayflower Brewing Co. has introduced its first variety pack called the Mayflower Compact. The 12-pack will include the brand’s four year-round products—Golden Ale, Pale Ale, IPA and Porter. Mayflower expanded distribution into New Hampshire this summer, expanding on its existing availability in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Last year, the company produced just under 6,000 barrels of beer and expects volume to increase for 2012.
