Campari America To Release New Bowmore Label, Dorus Mor
December 3, 2012Campari America is launching Bowmore’s Dorus Mor, a small-batch single malt Scotch, in the U.S. market next month. A 10-year-old whisky from Islay, Dorus Mor (55.1% abv) is priced at $120 a 750-ml., with a limited quantity of 2,400 bottles available stateside. The special edition Scotch—which is known globally as Bowmore Tempest—was renamed for the U.S. market due to trademark issues.
Dorus Mor’s rollout follows the recent debut of two other limited edition single malts, Auchentoshan Valinch 2012 and Glen Garioch 1986. Introduced last month, Auchentoshan Valinch 2012 has an allotment of 1,300 U.S. bottles, priced at $60 each, while just 250 bottles of Glen Garioch 1986 have been released, retailing for $250 each.
