Trinchero To Launch Echo Bay, New Addition To Surging Sauvignon Blanc Category

Trinchero Family Estates is launching a new brand into one of the U.S. market’s hottest wine segments—New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. The new entry, Echo Bay, begins rolling out on January 1, 2013. The initial launch features a 2012 vintage with a Marlborough appellation and a suggested retail price of $12.99. New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc continues to grow rapidly in the U.S. market. For the four weeks ending November 10, the category’s sales rose more than 25% in Nielsen channels.
