•Restaurant and bar chain Buffalo Wild Wings Inc. has partnered with Redhook Brewery to create a new beer for its summer drinks menu. The brew, which will be called Game Changer, is billed as a premium craft beer intended to bridge the gap between lower-priced domestic brands and higher-end craft and import options. Game Changer will be available across Buffalo Wild Wings’ North American footprint, which comprises more than 900 units.

•Brew Hub has signed a lease for a 50,400-square-foot space in Lakeland, Florida to house its new brewery. The new facility will have a brewhouse with an initial capacity of approximately 75,000 barrels per year, as well as a tasting room. Construction is slated to begin in May. Founded in 2012, Brew Hub partners with craft brewers to produce their beers onsite, as well as have the beers packaged and distributed using the Brew Hub distribution system. According to the company, the Lakeland site is the first of five Brew Hub locations to open across the U.S. over the next five years, with possible future facilities in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Texas and the West Coast.

New Belgium Brewing is near completion of a 140,000-barrel expansion project at its Fort Collins, Colorado facility. The update includes 400 metric tons of additional malt capacity, four 2200-hectoliter bright beer tanks, twelve 2200-hectoliter fermentation vessels, a 30% expansion to the process water treatment facility and additional filtration capacity, among other features. The expansion is designed to help the brewer keep up with growth while it constructs a new brewery in Asheville, North Carolina. New Belgium expects to break ground on the Asheville facility this summer. It’s slated to come online in 2015 with a capacity of 400,000 barrels. New Belgium’s distribution footprint currently covers 31 states and Washington, D.C.

Seattle-based Elysian Brewing has introduced a new limited edition brew, Space Dust, to its Manic IPA series. The beer will be available on draft and in 22-ounce bottles in select restaurants, bars and retail stores from May to August. Space Dust (7.2% abv) is brewed with Chinook, Citra and Amarillo hops and Northwest Pale, C-15 and Dextri-Pils malts. The Manic IPA series launched last February with Idiot Sauvin, followed by Prometheus and Valhalla throughout the year. Elysian’s distribution footprint currently comprises 10 states ranging from the West to the East Coast.
