Craft Brewing And Distilling News for May 31, 2013
May 31, 2013•Craft Brew Alliance’s Kona Brewing is bringing back summer seasonal Wailua Ale to its Aloha Series. Wailua is available now through September on draft and in stores across all 36 states where Kona brews are distributed. Initially launched as Liliko’i Wheat in 1998, Wailua Ale’s recipe has remained the same, featuring passion fruit, wheat malt and Millenium hops. It’s the first beer in the Aloha Series to be released in Kona’s new packaging, which was unveiled last month. The new look features bottles that are embossed with a Hawaiian island chain and “Liquid Aloha” lettering, as well as new illustrated die-cut labels designed to accentuate Hawaii’s natural landscape and a slimmer shape.
