•San Francisco’s Anchor Brewing is expanding distribution of its California Lager to select markets. Beginning this month, Anchor will roll California Lager out in 15 states across the country. California Lager (4.9% abv) will now be a year-round offering in Anchor’s stable, available in 6-packs, 12-packs and 22-ounce bottles as well as on draft. Made with two-row California barley, Cluster hops and Anchor’s own lager yeast, the brew is designed to be a re-creation of the state of California’s first genuine lager in 1876. California Lager was the first beer in the company’s Zymaster series, originally released in early 2012 as a limited draft beer and again in February for distribution in California only.Subscribe to Shanken News Daily’s Email Newsletter, delivered to your inbox each morning.
