Wine Spectator To Host New York Wine Experience October 24-26

Wine Spectator will hold its three-day New York Wine Experience event at the Marriott Marquis in New York City from Thursday, October 24 though Saturday, October 26, 2013. The three-day event will include the Critics’ Choice Grand Tastings on both Thursday andFriday evening, consisting of more than 250 top-rated wines. Friday and Saturday will also include daytime sit-down tastings featuring the world’s top winemakers, seminars and a seated lunch with paired wines.

The New York Wine Experience will conclude with a black-tie dinner on Saturday night, featuring rare and special wines as well as a performance by Grammy Award-winning singer John Legend. At the dinner, Wine Spectator will recognize the restaurateurs who’ve earned the magazine’s “Grand Award” for wine list excellence in 2013 and present the Wine of the Year award to Doug Shafer for Shafer Relentless Napa Valley 2008. In addition, Burgundy winemaking legend Robert Drouhin will receive Wine Spectator’s Distinguished Service Award.

Tickets are $1,875 a person for the entire program, or $250 per person per night for the Critics’ Choice Grand Tasting. They can be ordered here.
