•Washington’s Woodinville Whiskey Company has broken ground on its new distillery. Slated to open this fall, the facility is located at the site of the historic 100-year-old Hollywood Tavern, which has been renovated and expanded and will offer a farm cuisine menu from Seattle-based Huxley Wallace restaurant group. The adjacent 8,000-square-foot distillery will have the capacity to produce 65,000 nine-liter cases of pot distilled, sour mash Bourbon and rye whiskey per year, and will contain an expanded tasting room and event space. Woodinville Whiskey Co. will celebrate the opening this fall with the release of the first five barrels of whiskey that the company has ever produced—two of which are a corn/rye/barley Bourbon, and three of which contain a corn/wheat/barley Bourbon.

•Fort Collins, Colorado-based Odell Brewing is set to release its newest Montage variety 12-pack. The Fall~Winter pack will be released this month, featuring the brewer’s flagship 90 Shilling, IPA, seasonal Isolation Ale and Wellspring. Billed as a dry hopped saison, Wellspring is a new brew that marks the first release in Odell’s experimental “Roots Release” series. Odell will release three different versions of the Montage variety pack a year, reflecting the seasonal beer release schedule. Every version features 90 Shilling and IPA, the current seasonal and a new Roots Release. Odell also produces a year-round range as well as a variety of specialty offerings including the Woodcut series and the 4-Pack series. Its beers are distributed in 10 states.
