Craft Brewing And Distilling News for September 17, 2013
September 17, 2013•Atlanta’s SweetWater Brewing is bringing back its Crank Tank beer this week. The beer is resuming its annual release after taking a year off in 2012 due to prior production constraints. This year’s version is a Helles-style lager. At 5.8% abv, Crank Tank is brewed with Pilsner, Carapils and Munich malts, Mt. Hood and Zaaz hops, and a German Helles yeast. SweetWater will donate 100% of the proceeds from sales of the beer back to Camp Twin Lakes (CTL), a network of camps in Georgia providing programs for children with serious illnesses, disabilities and other challenges. The brewer’s beers are currently available in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Alabama.
