•Chicago-based Une Année Brewery has partnered with Wirtz Beverage Illinois to expand its reach throughout the greater Chicago region. Effective October 15, Wirtz will handle Une Année’s core offerings, which include its Maya Belgian IPA and Less is More Session Saison labels, as well as its limited release The Devil’s Reign Belgian Golden-Strong collaborative entry. Une Année Brewery, which officially made its debut in the Chicago market earlier this month, specializes in seasonally-focused French- and Belgian-style ales.

•Grand Rapids, Michigan-based Founders Brewing Co. is set to release a barrel-aged wheat wine as part of its Backstage Series, which features limited edition, experimental brews. Rolling out this December, the new entry, Sweet Repute, is made with wheat, roasted malts and hops and matured in both Bourbon and maple syrup Bourbon barrels for 16 months. The 13%-abv offering will be released in limited quantities across Founders’ 25-state footprint, priced at $17.99-$19.99 a 750-ml.

•New York-based Shmaltz Brewing Co. has announced new distribution partnerships across seven key markets, as well as entry into Vermont for the first time. The new alliances include tie-ups with Manhattan Beer Distributors in New York City and its surrounding counties; Kohler Distributing, Shore Point Distributing and Kramer Beverage in New Jersey; Freedom Beverage in North Carolina; J.J. Taylor Distributing in Minnesota; Brown Distributing in Florida; and Craft Beer Guild in Vermont. Next month, Shmaltz plans to enter Maine with Craft Beer Guild, and in 2014, will expand into Kentucky via Beer House Distributing.

•Eugene, Oregon-based Ninkasi Brewing Co. will bring back two winter seasonals, Sleigh’r Dark Doüble Alt Ale and Imperiale Imperial Stout, in the coming weeks. Both beers will be available on draft and in bottles from October to December across Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, California, Alaska and Vancouver, as well as in the Winter Variety 4-pack, which will also feature Total Domination IPA and Vanilla Oatis Oatmeal Stout.

•Long Beach, California-based Beachwood Brewing will release a new milk stout, Udder Love, next month. Set to roll out on October 8, Udder Love will be sold in 22-ounce bottles ($8) at craft beer retailers across Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego counties. It will also be available on draft at both Beachwood BBQ restaurant locations. Udder Love (5.9% abv) is brewed using British Maris Otter malts, followed by three different types of British roasted malts for coffee and bittersweet chocolate flavors. It’s then finished with milk sugar from Wisconsin.
