•Atlanta’s SweetWater Brewing will launch Red Hot Mama to its Dank Tank Series next week. The limited edition brew will be available in 22-ounce bombers and on draft across the Southeast beginning October 14. Red Hot Mama (8.6% abv) is an American-style Imperial Red Ale, brewed with more than 2 pounds of hops per barrel. It joins Some Strange, 16 So Fine, The Gimp, Danktoberfest, Fresh Sticky Nugs, Ghoulash and The Price is Wrong in the Dank Tank series. SweetWater’s brews are currently available in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Alabama.

•Oregon’s 10 Barrel Brewing, California’s Stone Brewing and Washington, D.C.’s Bluejacket have collaborated on a new beer, Suede Imperial Porter. A 9.6%-abv porter made with Magnum and Sterling hops and accented by the addition of avocado honey, dried jasmine and calendula flowers, Suede is a limited edition brew available on draft and in 22-ounce bottles at select retailers and bars across more than 40 states.
