•Wirtz Beverage has partnered with 4 Hands Brewing Co. to launch the St. Louis-based brewer’s craft portfolio in Chicago. Under the agreement, Wirtz will market and distribute 4 Hands’ Divided Sky Rye IPA, Reprise Centennial Red, Cast Iron Oatmeal Brown, Chocolate Milk Stout, Bona Fide Imperial Stout, Cuvee Ange and Smoked Pigasus labels throughout greater Chicago and surrounding areas. The seven offerings will initially be available at restaurants and bars starting in January, with packaged formats set to follow by February. The move marks 4 Hands’ first entry into Chicago.
•Escondido, California-based Stone Brewing is launching its Smoked Porter w/Vanilla Bean into national distribution in 22-ounce bottles and on draft. A 5.9%-abv specialty beer first brewed in 2006, Smoked Porter Vanilla Bean is seeing a wider rollout this year due to popular demand. This is the first of three specialty versions of Stone Smoked Porter that will be released throughout the upcoming year.
