•Escondido, California’s Stone Brewing Company is releasing two new offerings over the next month. The first is the return of the brewery’s annual February beer, Old Guardian Barley Wine, on February 24. Stone characterizes Old Guardian as “rich and malty, with a pronounced yeasty ester profile. It finishes with strong citrus and tropical fruit hop flavors.” The second upcoming release, debuting March 3, is a new year-round entry called Go To IPA, which will appear in six-packs and on draft. Targeting the fast-rising, lower-alcohol “session IPA” segment, Go To is 4.5% abv.
•Downingtown, Pennsylvania-based Victory Brewing Co. has launched Swing Session Saison, a new spring seasonal. A Belgian-style ale featuring spice and citrus notes, Swing Session will be available through April in 12-ounce bottles and on draft, priced at around $9.99 a six-pack. Concurrently, Victory is also set to release its draft-only Mad King’s Weiss entry in bottles for the first time. Rolling out in April, the German-style Hefeweisen will be offered as a 22-ounce bottled seasonal through August.
