•Maine’s Shipyard Brewing Company has released a year-round variety pack of its India Pale Ales. The Shipyard Variety IPA 12-pack features the 5.8%-abv Fuggles IPA, Monkey Fist IPA (6.9%-abv), Black IPA (6.2%-abv) and XXXX IPA (9.25%-abv) and will be available in the more than 40 states within the brewery’s distribution footprint. The suggested retail price of the pack is $16.99. Founded in 1994, Shipyard Brewing has annual production of more than 166,000 barrels and was ranked as the 15th-largest craft brewer in the U.S. by the Brewers Association.
•San Diego’s Green Flash Brewing is set to debut Road Warrior, a new summer seasonal. Based on a recipe from Green Flash’s 2013 Hop Odyssey specialty series, Road Warrior is a 9%-abv Imperial Rye IPA which, unlike more traditional summer releases, is intended to be full-flavored and un-sessionable. The new entry will be available from May through August in 12-ounce four-packs, 22-ounce bottles and on draft across the brewer’s 48-state footprint. Road Warrior joins Palate Wrecker (available January through April) and Green Bullet (available September through December) in Green Flash’s existing seasonal lineup.
•Sea Dog Brewing Company, based in Portland, Maine, is launching its popular Sea Dog Sunfish session beer nationwide in bottles and on draft. Previously, the 4.6%-abv offering had only been available at the Sea Dog brewpubs in Maine and Florida. Sunfish, featuring hints of peach and grapefruit, joins the brewery’s year-round wheat beer lineup of raspberry, apricot and blueberry beers.
