April 29, 2014•Eugene, Oregon-based Ninkasi Brewing Co. is set to enter Nevada next month. The craft brewer has partnered with Blach Distributing, Capital Beverages, Nevada Beverage, Morrey Distributing and Valley Distributors to bring its full range of packaged, draft and limited release offerings into the state. In addition to Nevada, Ninkasi’s brews are available across Oregon, Alaska, California, Idaho, Montana, Washington state and Vancouver, B.C. Ninkasi Brewing, which operates both a 55-barrel and newly-constructed 90-barrel brewhouse in its hometown of Eugene, produces the Total Domination IPA, Tricerahops Double IPA, Believer Double Red, Oatis Oatmeal Stout and Vanilla Oatis Oatmeal Stout labels, among others.
•New York’s Coney Island Brewing Company is releasing its first summer seasonal, Tunnel of Love Watermelon Wheat. Brewed with real watermelons, the wheat beer joins Coney Island’s Mermaid Pilsner and Seas the Day India Pale Lager on draft and in six-packs throughout the metro New York area. Tunnel of Love is available April through September. Coney Island Brewing was acquired by Boston Beer-owned “craft beer incubator” Alchemy & Science last August.
