Gallo Acquires North Coast’s Ledgewood

E.&J. Gallo has added to its premium wine stable with the acquisition of Ledgewood Creek Winery and Vineyard, located in Solano County in the North Coast AVA. Situated just east of Napa Valley, Ledgewood is based on a 400-acre ranch that includes 230 acres of vineyards planted to Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir.

Roger Nabedian, senior vice president and general manager of Gallo’s Premium Wine division, said Ledgewood’s vineyards will support the rapid growth the company is seeing at the premium level, and added that Gallo has no plans to operate the Ledgewood winery or tasting room.
