May 13, 2014•Providence, Rhode Island-based Narragansett Beer has partnered with Del’s Frozen Lemonade to release a new, limited edition shandy. Rolling out this week, Narragansett Del’s Shandy blends the brewer’s core lager with Del’s lemon concentrate. The 5%-abv brew will be available across Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York in six-packs of 16-ounce cans, priced at $8.99. Narragansett Del’s Shandy marks the second entry in the brewer’s Hi Neighbor Mash-Up specialty series, which features collaborations with other local, Rhode Island-based establishments.
•Belgium’s Biéres de Chimay is introducing its Chimay Premiére on draft to select U.S. markets beginning in June. A copper-colored Trappist ale brewed since 1862, Chimay Premiére joins portfoliomate Cinq Cents as one of the few Trappist ales available on draft in the U.S. The Chimay brand has been present in the U.S. for 31 years, imported by Manneken-Brussel Imports.
