Bacardi Appoints IMG’s Dolan As Interim CEO

Bacardi Ltd. has appointed Michael Dolan as its interim CEO. Dolan, who has been a Bacardi board member since 2009, most recently served as chairman and CEO of IMG Worldwide. Prior to joining IMG in 2010, Dolan served as executive vice president and CFO of Viacom.

Dolan’s appointment as interim CEO follows last month’s retirement of president and CEO Ed Shirley. Dolan will serve at Bacardi’s helm until a permanent CEO is named, which is expected to occur within the next six months.

“We are fortunate to have Mike take on CEO duties as he has an exceptional global business track record, understands powerful brands and knows our Company very well as a result of his service on our Board,” Bacardi chairman Facundo L. Bacardi said.
