•Framingham, Massachusetts-based Jack’s Abby Brewing LLC is expanding into the Connecticut market beginning next month. Jack’s Abby beers will be available in Fairfield and New Haven counties through G&G Beverage Distributors, Inc. and in Hartford, Litchfield, Middlesex, Tolland, Windham and New London counties through Craft Beer Guild Distributing of Connecticut, LLC. Starting June 16, Hoponius Union, Jabby Brau, Smoke & Dagger, Leisure Time Lager, Hopstitution and Mass Rising will be available on draft in the state, with bottle availability beginning in early August. Seasonal and specialty beers will be launch throughout the year. In 2013, Jack’s Abby says it increased production capacity from 7,000 barrels to 18,000 barrels.

•Bloomington, Indiana’s Upland Brewing Company is releasing a new beer sampler pack, “The Welcoming Committee.” The pack contains 12 bottles of Upland’s Wheat Ale, Dragonfly IPA and at least two other varieties of randomly selected seasonals. Intended as a way to introduce new consumers to the brewery’s offerings, it combines popular favorites with new brews. The packaging features artwork and hand-lettered type by France’s BMD Design. The Welcoming Committee is available at select retail outlets throughout Indiana and other markets within the company’s distribution network.
