•Chandler, Arizona’s SanTan Brewing Company is launching its SunSpot Gold ale in 12-ounce cans, adding to its canned beer lineup. An American version of a traditional blonde ale, SunSpot was the first beer brewed by the company in 2007 and has served as inspiration for SanTan’s Southwestern-style ales. SunSpot Gold is available now at select retailers throughout Arizona and southern California, as well as Texas starting in June.
•Jack Joyce, co-founder of Oregon craft producer Rogue Ales & Spirits, has passed away at age 71, The Oregonian reports. A former attorney and Nike executive, Joyce founded Rogue in Ashland, Oregon in 1988 with a group of friends. Today, Rogue ranks as the 27th largest craft brewer nationwide, according to the Brewers Association, with a nationally distributed portfolio that includes American Amber Ale, Shakespeare Oatmeal Stout and Rogue Farms 7 Hop IPA.
