•Chandler, Arizona’s SanTan Brewing Company is launching its SunSpot Gold ale in 12-ounce cans, adding to its canned beer lineup. An American version of a traditional blonde ale, SunSpot was the first beer brewed by the company in 2007 and has served as inspiration for SanTan’s Southwestern-style ales. SunSpot Gold is available now at select retailers throughout Arizona and southern California, as well as Texas starting in June.

•Jack Joyce, co-founder of Oregon craft producer Rogue Ales & Spirits, has passed away at age 71, The Oregonian reports. A former attorney and Nike executive, Joyce founded Rogue in Ashland, Oregon in 1988 with a group of friends. Today, Rogue ranks as the 27th largest craft brewer nationwide, according to the Brewers Association, with a nationally distributed portfolio that includes American Amber Ale, Shakespeare Oatmeal Stout and Rogue Farms 7 Hop IPA. Rogue also operates brewpubs in Oregon, Washington and California, and produces spirits like Oregon Single Malt Whiskey, Spruce Gin, Pink Spruce Gin and Hazelnut Spice Rum at its distilleries in Newport and Portland, Oregon.
