•Trinchero Family Estates has extended its Ménage à Trois wine brand with a new range of vodkas. Launching just ahead of National Martini Day (June 19), the Ménage à Trois vodka lineup will debut with Straight Vodka, Triple Berry Vodka and Triple Citrus Vodka expressions. The trio join Ménage à Trois’ existing wine portfolio, which now includes 14 varietals and blends, and was up 3% to 2.2 million cases last year, according to Impact Databank. Along with Ménage à Trois vodka, Trinchero’s TNS Brands spirits unit also includes the Cruz Tequila, Tres Agaves Tequila and Sugar Island rum brands.

•Brown-Forman has been named the U.S. marketer for Korbel Brandy, effective July 1. Under the new agreement, Brown-Forman will assume all brand management duties for the full Korbel Brandy range, including its Korbel California Brandy, Korbel VSOP Gold Reserve, Korbel 12 and Korbel XS labels. The move marks a return for the brand, which had been handled by Brown-Forman from 1968-2003, but was most recently managed by Korbel’s Heck Estates division for the past 11 years. Selling roughly 330,000 cases annually in the U.S., Korbel Brandy is part of the Korbel California Champagne Cellars portfolio, whose California Champagnes have been been handled by Brown-Forman since 1965.

•Red Robin restaurants is introducing a new series of “Can-Crafted” cocktails, billed as “a unique combination of beer and liquor served in a first-to-market, reusable beer can.” The new offerings come in two flavors—Wildbeer-y, which includes Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Redd’s Strawberry Ale, Red Robin’s strawberry-raspberry purée and Minute Maid Lemonade; and Beer ’Rita, made of Sauza Blue Silver Tequila, triple sec, and Red Robin’s sweet & sour mix topped with a cold Coronita. Red Robin’s move to market beer-spirit cocktails in cans dovetails with the strong trend toward canned craft beers in the U.S. market.
