Winebow And The Vintner Group To Merge

June 10, 2014

Fine wine importers and distributors Winebow and The Vintner Group have agreed to merge their operations to create The Winebow Group, LLC. The new company will have a combined distribution network covering 14 states and Washington D.C.

The company will distribute wine and spirits under the Winebow Distribution name in Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C.; as The Country Vintner in Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Washington D.C.; as Stacole Fine Wines in Florida; as Quality Wine & Spirits in Georgia; and as Martin Scott Wines in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York.

In addition to distribution operations, The Winebow Group will offer the imported wine and spirits portfolios of Winebow and the Vintner Group on a national basis, marketed under the Winebow Imports banner.

Vintner Group chief executive David Townsend will lead The Winebow Group as president and CEO. Winebow founder and chairman emeritus Leonardo LoCascio said the combined company will “exceed in its ability to meet the needs of the ever-changing wine and craft spirits landscape,” owing to its “unique platform” that provides both import and distribution services to fine wine and spirits brands.
