Craft Brewing and Distilling News for June 26, 2014

•Los Angeles-based craft beer house Brouwerij West is brewing a new series of beers this summer featuring labels hand-drawn by musician Mark Mothersbaugh, who has created over a dozen different labels for the brewery. Brouwerij West is known for its Belgian ales and changing label artwork, with currently available bottles such as Dog Ate My Homework Blackberry Saison and Saison Extra (labels by Canadian artist and actor Jacob Rolfe), Brouwerij West Tripel (label by Chicago-based artist Ryan Duggan), and Mør Mør Quad (label by Los Angeles-based artist Jim Mazza). Brouwerij West is also in the process of building a full production brewery, expected to produce more than 6,000 barrels in its first year, as well as a visitor center/tasting room in San Pedro, California.
