Vintus Joins Forces With Monsieur Touton In Key Tri-State Area

July 1, 2014

New York-based national fine wine importer and marketer Vintus has partnered with quality wine distributor Monsieur Touton Selection for a joint venture in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut markets.

In New York, the joint venture will operate under the name VTS and will represent a new distribution model for the companies. Effective August 1, the Vintus portfolio will be available exclusively through VTS, whose sales force will be dedicated solely to its luxury-focused stable. VTS will collaborate with Touton’s New York team of 45 sales personnel to build sales and distribution for the wines and will be managed by Jock Busser, a five-year veteran of Vintus, as co-national sales manager.

Monsieur Touton will handle the Vintus portfolio in New Jersey beginning August 1 and in Connecticut from January 1, 2015. In 2012, Monsieur Touton took over full distribution of the Vintus range in Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia and Delaware, and in that time has increased sales by more than 50%.

Founded in 2004 by former Kobrand executive Michael Quinttus, Vintus represents an international range of wineries and distillers, such as Napa’s Chateau Montelena, E. Guigal from France’s Rhône Valley, Champagne Ayala from France, Heartland from Australia and New Zealand’s Dog Point Vineyard, among others. Monsieur Touton Selection was founded in 1983 and has a 200-strong sales force operating in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Florida.
