August 7, 2014•San Diego, California’s Saint Archer Brewing Company is working on a brewery expansion this summer that will increase production by 45% to about 2,500 barrels of beer monthly. The brewery is adding more fermentation tanks, a centrifuge, two new grain silos and a spent grain silo. The expansion coincides with Saint Archer’s first anniversary and will allow for more experimental beers and collaborations. In September, it will release a collaboration beer with Girl Skateboards and is looking at crafting a Coffee Brown Ale, an Imperial Porter and Black Lager in the future.
•Colorado’s Fort Collins Brewery is launching a new Oktoberfest offering as a fall seasonal. The 5.4% abv brew is made with Vienna, Munich and Caramel malts and German noble hops. It will roll out across Fort Collins Brewery’s 22-state distribution footprint through the fall season in six-packs and on draft, as well as in the Brewer’s Lunch Box, a variety 12-pack.
