Bacardi Appoints Rich Andrews As VP, Commercial For North America, Replacing Departing Hopkins

August 19, 2014

Following the news yesterday that industry veteran Pete Carr has succeeded Robert Furniss-Roe as president of Bacardi North America, the drinks giant has announced another key change to its U.S. leadership team. Derek Hopkins, SVP, national sales director at Bacardi USA, is leaving the company, to be replaced by Rich Andrews as VP, commercial for North America.

Andrews, who has been with Bacardi for more than a decade, was most recently business unit managing director for the U.K. and Ireland, where he focused on expanding Bacardi’s premium business. His other roles with the company have included VP of sales for Canada, president for Canada and interim regional president for Latin America. Hopkins, who joined Bacardi in 2011 from the Coca-Cola Company, has agreed to help with the transition.
