•Atlanta’s SweetWater Brewing has released Hop Hash, a new year-round offering. Billed as a double IPA, the 7.8%-abv expression is made with American citrus, Cascade, Centennial and Simcoe hops, as well as a form of concentrated hop resin also known as “hop hash.” Hop Hash will roll out this October, available in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles and on draft. SweetWater, which is set to grow its footprint to 12 states by the end of this year, produces five additional year-round entries, including its 420 Pale Ale, Blue, IPA, Georgia Brown and Take Two Pils labels.
•Baltimore, Maryland’s Heavy Seas Beer will bring back its fall/winter seasonal Winter Storm next month through December. The ruddy-hued, 7.5%-abv Imperial ESB is brewed with hops from the West Coast and the U.K.—Warrior, U.K. Goldings, U.K. Fuggles, Cascade and Centennial—and features aromas of nutty malts and cocoa, the brewery says. Winter Storm will be available throughout Heavy Seas’ 18-state distribution network.
