September 9, 2014•St. Louis-based contract brewer Brew Hub has revealed plans to build a new brewery and company headquarters in Chesterfield, Missouri. Located within St. Louis County, the new Chesterfield facility will have an initial capacity of 75,000 barrels annually, with potential to grow capacity to 200,000 barrels. Additionally, the location will feature a 3,000-square-foot tasting room and biergarten. Construction is set to begin by the end of the year, with the brewery slated to open in early 2016. The facility will be Brew Hub’s second brewery, joining the company’s Lakeland, Florida location, which opened last month. Brew Hub, which currently provides contract brewing services for craft breweries such as Cigar City Brewing, Orange Blossom Pilsner, Green Man Brewing and BJ’s Restaurants, plans to build a total of five breweries.
•Pennsylvania’s Victory Brewing Company is planning to open a fourth brewpub in the second quarter of 2016. Located in Leesburg, Virginia, the newest outpost will span three floors and include a 300-seat restaurant in addition to a full-service brewhouse. It will be housed in L4 Capital Partners’ Courthouse Square, a 112,000-square-foot development of office and retail space near Leesburg’s town hall and the county courthouse. Victory currently operates a brewpub at its original Downingtown, Pennsylvania brewery and has two others in development, located in Kennett Square and at its new Parkesburg brewery, respectively.
