•Kobrand Corporation has added Tenuta di Biserno, a project from Marchese Lodovico Antinori, to its portfolio. The offerings from the 90-hectare Tenuta di Biserno estate, which sits in the coastal area of Upper Maremma in western Tuscany and borders the Bolgheri DOC, include Il Pino di Biserno ($80) and Biserno ($180). After selling his Tenuta dell’Ornellaia estate in 2002, Marchese Lodovico unveiled the Biserno project with his brother Piero Antinori in 2012. The estate grows Bordeaux varietals—focusing on Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot.

•The Teeling Whiskey Co. has extended its range of non-age statement Irish whiskies with a new single malt offering. Teeling Single Malt is made with aged malt whiskey matured for up to 23 years in Sherry, Port, Madeira, white Burgundy and Cabernet Sauvignon casks. The 46%-abv entry marks the third release in Teeling’s lineup, joining its Small Batch and Single Grain labels. Founded in 2012 by Jack Teeling, the Teeling Whiskey Co. is currently constructing a new €10 million ($14m) distillery in Dublin, which is set to have an annual capacity of 500,000 liters and be operational by the end of this year.

•Top companies from across the wine, spirits and beer businesses have joined to form a new organization, the International Alliance for Responsible Drinking (IARD), to combat harmful drinking worldwide. The new initiative marks a merging of two existing drinks agency groups—the International Center for Alcohol Policies and the Global Alcohol Producers Group—and will be helmed by Ann Keeling as CEO, effective January 1. Keeling is currently United Nations Population Fund Representative for Pakistan, and previously served as CEO of the International Diabetes Federation. Diageo, Pernod Ricard, Bacardi, Brown-Forman, Beam Suntory, Moët Hennessy, Constellation, AB InBev, SABMiller, Carlsberg and others are all provisional board members of IARD.
