November 7, 2014•Boston, Massachusetts’ Harpoon Brewery is launching UFO Gingerland, a gingerbread-inspired offering within its UFO series of unfiltered beer. Brewed with cinnamon, clove and ginger, the spiced wheat beer (5.2% abv) features malty sweetness from cinnamon spice and Munich malts and a crisp ginger finish, the company says. It is available this winter in six- and 12-packs of bottles, cans and on draft. Harpoon also offers the limited-batch 100 Barrel Series and Harpoon Craft Cider. This past August, the company became employee-owned.
•Fort Collins, Colorado-based New Belgium Brewing is returning two popular winter seasonals, Accumulation White IPA and 2° Below Winter Ale, as well as longtime returning seasonal Frambozen. The unfiltered Accumulation White IPA (6.2% abv), available now through January, features bitterness balanced by peach and citrus flavors, the company says. 2° Below (6.6% abv) is a Belgium-style, dry-hopped ale brewed near a freezing state and is available through January. Frambozen, returning for its 21st year, is a raspberry brown ale at 6.5% abv and will be sold November 11 through January.
