Craft Brew Alliance Books 8% Volume Gain For Year Through September
November 7, 2014Craft Brew Alliance (CBA) has reported a third-quarter depletion volume gain of 6% on the same period last year, with net sales and total shipments also up, by 6% and 4%, respectively. For the nine months through September, meanwhile, volumes grew 8% on the year prior, as net sales and shipments rose 13% and 11%.
Despite the solid progress, CBA announced that the company had tightened its full year estimates, following tough comparisons on 2013’s third quarter and the recent launch of production operations in Memphis, Tennessee. As a result, the company has adjusted its 2014 depletion growth estimate from 7%-11% to 7%-9%. CBA’s brands include Redhook Brewery, Kona Brewing Co., Widmer Brothers Brewing, Omission and Square Mile Cider Co.
