Georges Duboeuf’s Beaujolais Nouveau Festivities Return After One-Year HiatusNovember 21, 2014
Georges Duboeuf’s renowned Beaujolais Nouveau celebration returned to the U.S. this week, following a one-year absence when the Beaujolais crop was largely wiped out by hailstorms. Franck Duboeuf and Peter Deutsch, CEO of Georges Duboeuf importer Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits, kicked off the festivities with a gala at Manhattan’s Tribeca Rooftop space on Wednesday night. “This year, we are blessed,” Franck Duboeuf told Wine Spectator. “Everything was in order to produce a great crop in terms of quality and quantity after two vintages of very low yields.” Roughly 100,000 cases of Duboeuf Nouveau are currently rolling out in the U.S. market.Subscribe to Shanken News Daily’s Email Newsletter, delivered to your inbox each morning.
