Bacardi Ltd. has appointed Jacques Tortoroli as its chief administration officer (CAO), effective December 1. In this newly created role, Tortoroli is responsible for global Finance, Operations, Information Technology and Real Estate. He’ll report directly to Bacardi CEO Mike Dolan, and will be based at the company headquarters in Hamilton, Bermuda. Tortoroli joins Bacardi from Viacom, Inc., which he joined in 2002. He most recently held the dual role of executive vice president of financial services for Viacom and executive vice president & chief financial officer for Viacom Media Networks.

•Dewar’s Scotch whisky has launched “Dewar’s Profiles,” a new digital initiative. An extension of the Bacardi brand’s ongoing “Live True” campaign, the Dewar’s Profiles series features a collection of short video interviews showcasing the achievements of individuals from various backgrounds. Interviewees include hairstylist Mark Bustos, professional hockey player Hilary Knight, muralist Zio Ziegler, television personality Sal Masekela and professional surfer Jon Rose. The full series is currently available online. The second-largest Scotch brand in the U.S., Dewar’s was up 1.7% to 1.22 million cases in the U.S. last year, according to Impact Databank.
