Stillhouse Moonshine Ramps Up Distribution, Launches New Flavors

December 9, 2014

Stillhouse Spirits Co. is rapidly expanding distribution of its namesake moonshine brand across the U.S. market. The brand has caught on in states like California, Florida, Illinois and Texas and is available in a total of nine markets through Southern Wine & Spirits (SWS), as well as Glazer’s in Texas. Stillhouse CEO Brad Beckerman says the company’s partnership with SWS will bring the moonshine brand’s distribution footprint up to about 20 states by the end of 2015, allowing it to roughly double its volume, which is currently below 10,000 cases.

Founded in 2010, Stillhouse has so far focused on its core Original Kentucky-made corn white whiskey (80 proof). Last month, though, it extended with Red Hot, Peach Tea, Apple Crisp and Coconut offerings (all 40-proof), which Beckerman says build on the brand’s Americana theme.

The Stillhouse line retails at $24.95 and is packaged in a patented glass jug. The company expects to debut another round of seasonal flavors next spring. “We’re focused on keeping it versatile and relevant,” Beckerman says, adding that moonshine is bringing female consumers and Millennials into the whiskey category by virtue of its approachability and mixability.
