•Houston-based Saint Arnold Brewing has reported a production increase of 14%, to just over 66,500 barrels, for 2014. Sales were driven primarily by Saint Arnold’s seasonal portfolio, which includes five rotating entries, as well as its year-round Fancy Lawnmower and Santo labels. Additionally, Saint Arnold’s year-round Ale Wagger entry emerged as its fastest-growing offering, with production up 32% for the year. According to Saint Arnold, 2014 marks the fourth consecutive year that the brewery has increased production by more than 8,000 cases. In other company news, Saint Arnold has announced plans to launch Fancy Lawnmower and Santo in cans for the first time by February, with a canned version of its Summer Pils seasonal to follow in April. A new can-only brew is also being primed to join the portfolio later in the year.
•Missouri-based Public House Brewing Company is expanding distribution statewide in its home market next month, partnering with distributors Major Brands and Grellner Sales and Service. The move follows the recent completion of a new 13,000-square-foot brewhouse in St. James, Missouri, which will enable Public House to meet growing demand for its beers, which include Revelation Stout, Hide and Seek Hefeweizen, Elusive IPA and Rod’s Cream Ale. Alongside the new St. James facility—which will produce both bottled and kegged beers for the on- and off-premise markets, Public House’s original Rolla, Missouri location will remain intact as a home base for product development, the brewer says.
•Pawtucket, Rhode Island’s Foolproof Brewing Co. has unveiled plans for a new brewery expansion project. The expansion, which will include the installation of a 60-barrel fermentation tank, will grow the brewer’s production capacity by 25%. According to Foolproof founder and president Nick Garrison, the move will help the brewery keep pace with rising demand and enhance its ability to explore new beer styles and packaging formats. Established in early 2013, Foolproof Brewing’s year-round portfolio includes Barstool American Golden Ale, Raincloud Robust Porter, Backyahd IPA and La Ferme Urbaine Farmhouse Ale. The brewery’s current footprint includes Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire and Dallas, Texas.
