•Italian wine importer Vias Imports has added Northern Italy’s Pacherhof Winery to its U.S. portfolio. Spanning eight hectares (19.8 acres) of vineyards in the Alto Adige region, Pacherhof Winery specializes in white wines and has an annual capacity of around 30,000 bottles. Effective this month, Vias will begin handling the winery’s portfolio—which includes a Gewürztraminer ($34), Kerner ($28), Müller Thurgau ($24), Pinot Grigio ($29), Riesling ($37), Sylvaner ($28) and Sylvaner Alte Reben ($45)—nationwide. Pacherhof marks the fourth Alto Adige winery in Vias Imports’ stable, joining the Gottardi, Weingut Larcherhof and Strasserhof estates.

Sommer will replace current RNDC Colorado president Jim Smith, who will retire April 1. Sommer was most recently executive vice president of RNDC South Texas.
