Rémy Cointreau Officially Names Chapoulaud-Floquet CEO

January 28, 2015

Rémy Cointreau has officially confirmed Valérie Chapoulaud-Floquet as the company’s CEO. Chapoulaud-Floquet was first appointed to the role in June, after Frédéric Pflanz stepped down in early 2014. Prior to joining Rémy Cointreau, she spent more than 20 years with the L’Oréal Group before joining Louis Vuitton in 2008, where she held a variety of leadership roles within the group’s Europe, Asia and Americas regions.

Concurrent with Chapoulaud-Floquet’s confirmation, Rémy Cointreau has also announced several management changes, including an expansion of the group’s executive committee from six members to 12, with the managing directors for the House of Rémy Martin, Louis XIII & Mount Gay, Liqueurs & Spirits, Bruichladdich & The Botanist brands now reporting directly to Chapoulaud-Floquet.

For the first nine months of Rémy Cointreau’s fiscal year, through December, sales were down 4.1% on an organic basis. In its last full fiscal year through last March the company had sales of €1.03 billion ($1.2b).
