•Middlebury, Vermont’s Woodchuck Hard Cider has unveiled its latest offering, Gumption cider, crafted from a blend of the state’s eating apples and dry bittersweet cider apples. Woodchuck’s newest year-round release has a sweet apple aroma and dry finishing notes, the company says. Gumption (5.5% abv) will be available next month for about $8.99 and in May will be introduced on draft in select cities around the U.S. Last fall, the company—which is owned by Ireland’s C&C Group—released a rotating six-pack available year-round that featured a different cider style every 45 to 60 days.

•Eugene, Oregon’s Ninkasi Brewing Company has partnered with Salt Lake City’s General Distributing Company for entry into the Utah market, marking the ninth state where Ninkasi is available. Its craft offerings—such as Total Domination IPA and Tricerahops Double IPA as well as seasonal and specialty releases—will be available in 12- and 22-ounce bottles. Other markets within the company’s distribution footprint are Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon and Washington, as well as Alberta and British Columbia.
