March 18, 2015

•Houston, Texas-based Saint Arnold Brewing has released Saint Arnold Icon Blue, a new rye IPA. Brewed with rye instead of a traditional malt bill, Icon Blue also features six hop varieties, including Columbus, Chinook, Centennial, Cascade, Simcoe and Mosaic hops. Icon Blue is currently rolling out across Texas and Louisiana, available in four-packs of 12-ounce bottles and on draft. The IPA marks the latest entry in Saint Arnold’s rotating Icon series, which features a new release approximately every three months.

•Paso Robles, California craft brewer Firestone Walker Brewing Co. is reintroducing its Easy Jack session IPA as a canned year-round entry. Previously launched in limited quantities as a summer seasonal, Easy Jack is brewed with two German hop varieties—Mandarina Bavaria and Hull Melon—as well as a blend of New Zealand and American hops. The 4.5%-abv entry will be available in both cans and its original bottled format throughout the U.S. starting this month. Easy Jack joins the DBA, Pale 31, Union Jack and Pivo labels in Firestone Walker’s core lineup.
