•Asheville, North Carolina-based Hi-Wire Brewing will open a second 26,000-square-foot production facility in the city’s Biltmore Village. The new location will house a 30-barrel brewhouse and second tasting room and outdoor seating for regular tours. It previously housed an industrial metal machining shop and is located less than 2 miles from Hi-Wire’s downtown Asheville brewery, which will continue to be fully operational. The company, founded less than two years ago, produces ales and lagers such as its Hi-Wire Lager, Prime Time Pale Ale, Bed of Nails Brown, and Hi-Pitch IPA, as well as a rotating selection of seasonal and specialty beers from its Ringmaster’s Reserve Series.

•Charlottesville, Virginia’s Starr Hill Brewery has unveiled an updated logo and package redesign for its craft beer range. According to Starr Hill president and CEO Brian McNelis, the updated package—which features imagery inspired by Central Virginia’s natural landscape—is designed to elevate the brand’s appearance. Rolling out this summer, the new look will make its initial debut across Starr Hill’s core lineup, which includes the Northern Lights IPA, Grateful Pale Ale, The Love Wheat Beer, Double Platinum Imperial IPA and Jomo Vienna-Style Lager labels. The brewer’s seasonal offerings and variety packs are set to receive the refresh later this year and into 2016. Founded in 1999, Starr Hill’s portfolio is available throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern regions of the U.S.

•St. Louis-based contract brewer Brew Hub has launched a pair of new craft beers—Pool Hop All Season IPA and Diver Down—into the Florida market. A 4.5%-abv session IPA, Pool Hop is made with two-row malts and a variety of North American hops, while Diver Down is billed as an 8%-abv imperial red ale, brewed with two-row caramel Munich barley and Magnum and Willamette hops. The pair are currently available in six-packs of 12-ounce cans and on draft throughout Florida, available via J.J. Taylor, Gold Coast Beverage, Florida Distributing Co., Champion Brands, Tri-Eagle Sales and Daytona Beverages. Brew Hub, which opened its first craft brewery in Lakeland, Florida last year, plans to open its second brewery in St. Louis by May 2016.
