Bacardi Merges Global Creative, Digital And Media Duties With BBDO, OMD

Bacardi Ltd. is consolidating the creative, digital and media operations for its core portfolio via a new partnership with BBDO Worldwide and Omnicom Group’s OMD Worldwide. Effective immediately, BBDO will handle all creative and strategic development for Bacardi’s major brands, while OMD takes over lead planning and buying across all social, digital and media platforms.

Bacardi’s core portfolio includes its flagship Bacardi rum, Martini vermouth and sparkling wines, Bombay Sapphire gin, Dewar’s blended Scotch, Grey Goose vodka, William Lawson’s blended Scotch and Cazadores Tequila brands.

“Our goal is to create closer alignment between our global and local market operations. This new global partnership will be a great catalyst for achieving top-line growth,” said Bacardi Limited CEO Mike Dolan, adding that BBDO and OMD have shown “proven ability to deliver against similar goals for other multinational clients.”
