Rémy Cointreau Confirms LVMH Exec Farnier As New CEO, AmericasApril 21, 2015
Rémy Cointreau USA will come under new leadership at the end of May, the company has confirmed to SND, with current CEO Suriya Parksuwan set to step down. Parksuwan has led Rémy’s U.S. business since 2011 and is leaving to pursue other interests. Replacing him as Rémy’s CEO, Americas, is Philippe Farnier, who comes to the group from LVMH’s Parfums Christian Dior, where he has headed up the EMEA travel retail division for the past two years. Rémy’s global CEO Valerie Chapoulaud-Floquet, appointed last June, is also a former LVMH executive.
The leadership change comes following a fiscal year through March in which Rémy USA posted high single-digit shipment growth across its portfolio. Leading brand Rémy Martin Cognac grew 4% to nearly 650,000 cases in calendar 2014, according to Impact Databank.
